2026 Elections

It’s REALLY Important to Vote in the 2026 elections

Dear Friends,

Choose the strategy that best meets your needs, but please exercise your most precious democratic right by casting your ballot for the candidates of your choice in these primary elections ending on June 23rd. It is so important that the voter’s voices be heard at the ballot box, not just surveys or polls, but actual ballots.

The corrected mail ballots have arrived in our mailboxes, along with lots of mailers from candidates for all the different state and local offices.

Early voting centers are open from 7 am to 8 pm until June 18. To find the one most convenient to you go to https://mcg.montgomerycountymd.gov/Elections/EarlyVoting/EarlyVotingCenters.html.

The polls will open on Primary Election Day, June 23rd, at 7 am and if you are in line by 8 pm you will be able to cast your ballot. If you are uncertain of your assigned polling place, go to https://elections.maryland.gov/elections/2026/.

The candidates have provided a great deal of information about themselves in their fliers, their visits at our doors and media ads. There is additional information on many of their websites which you can find by going to https://elections.maryland.gov/elections/2026/primary_candidates/index.html and click on Montgomery County. All of this will help you choose the candidates that most closely match your idea of an effective public servant.

Candidates ask for endorsements which may provide more information about them to the voters. In this election, I have taken a rather low profile and made only a few formal endorsements in Montgomery County races. We are fortunate to have multiple excellent candidates in most races. I have based my personal endorsements on my knowledge and experience with each of these candidates. They are offered here for your consideration, if you wish.

Your Vote Matters

The most important thing you can do is vote for the candidates of your choice. Your vote is your voice in the decisions made by state, local, and federal officials, and those decisions directly affect our daily lives, as well as the lives of our friends and neighbors.
Thank you for your participation and for staying engaged in the democratic process.
