
The Maryland Delegate Scholarship is offered to Maryland residents who plan to pursue a postsecondary credential full-time (12+ credits undergraduate or 9+ credits graduate per semester) or part-time (6-11 credits undergraduate or 6-8 credits graduate per semester) at a two-year or four-year Maryland college, university or private career school. Unlike Maryland Senatorial Scholarships, they do not renew automatically and must be applied for annually.
Delegate Cullison Requirements
To be eligible for Delegate Cullison’s Scholarship, you must be:
- A resident of Legislative District 19 and/or your parents must be Maryland residents if you are a depending student. To find out if you live in District 19 check here.
- Meet the requirements set forth by MHEC (Maryland Higher Education Commission):
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) OR the MHEC One App (formerly known as the Maryland State Financial Aid Application or MSFAA)
- Attend/plan to attend a community college, 4-year college, or graduate school within Maryland, unless you qualify for one of MHEC’s Out-of-State Exceptions (see MHEC State Delegate Requirements for more info).
- Create an MHEC account with the Maryland Higher Education Commission, and be sure to save your student ID number. Be sure your account has your current District 19 address.
- Apply online by April 30. Make sure to include your MHEC ID number, and ensure your MHEC MDCAPS account has your current District 19 address. Delegate Scholarships do not renew automatically and must be applied for annually.
